Car rental agencies such as Avis are at the major airports and towns. The national road network between major cities is excellent and these roads are tarred and are therefore suitable for ordinary sedan vehicles.

Should you wish to explore the country and visit more remote regions yourself, we suggest you consider renting a 4 x 4. Please note that offroad conditions can be treacherous and only experienced off road drivers should consider this option. Please respect the bush and stay to designated tracks only.
